RAŠKO & NEVENA

01. Rasko i NevenaDirected by: Vladislav Nešić
Season 1986/1987

With the sounds of Byrne's vocal and the song, we are on the Road to Nowhere... PATOS set off to a theatrical adventure that continues to this day. Raško and Nevena, a performance that took the inspiration from Romeo and Juliet, spoke about the joy, love and youth problems in Smederevo. The show was generational and inclusive and it actors were punks, cool kids, rockers and Rom - breaker. Interesting fact was its open form of the recruitment of new members, so the play had constantly new parts even after its premiere. The actors played themselves, trying to share that moment of self-awareness through theatrical act with the audience.

HAMLET

02. HamletLuis Bunuel

Season

Bunuel's Hamlet was strong, thoughtful and ambitious performance that solidified poetics of PATOS. In those days, it was the proof of the maturity of the newly established theater.

UBU THE KING

03. Kralj IbiAlfred Jarry

Directed by: Branislav Čubrilović
Season

Jarry's King Ubu is a remake of the eponymous cult theater performances of OPS that shook Smederevo and gave birth of a new theater whose PATOS, in many respects, is the spiritual successor.

A CLOCKWORK ORANGE

04. Paklena PomorandzaAnthony Burgess

Season

The cult movie of Stanley Kubrick, made ​​from the novel by Anthony Francis De Moncy Burgess was inspiration for PATOS to talk about the reality that surrounds us, and pervasive violence that began to be part of all aspects of society.

Season

This cabaret, staged in the shadow of war and division as well as the Bob Foss' one, talked about serious things in a frivolous manner. People laughed, but it was laugh with somewhat constricted throat...

SECRET CONNECTION

07. Tajna vezaAleksandar Popović

Season

This is PATOS' homage to Aleksandar Popovic, one of the founders of Avant-garde Theater in Ex Yugoslavia. This was his less famous play, written, directed and conducted with members of his family.

JACK, OR THE OBEDIENCE (THE FUTURE IS IN EGGS)

08. Žak ili pokornostEugène Ionesco

Directed by: Gojko Milićević
Season 2000/2001

Ionesco treats individuality as a robot from a distance, conducted by social mechanisms. For him it is an animal governed by instinct and sexual desires. This is a graduation play of young director Gojko Milićević. This play brought "fresh blood" in PATOS and made ​​a generation change.

VENUS AXIS

The play, which tells us a story of someone else's mind and it's passions of erotic dreams. This was the last theater perfomance directed by Branislav Čubrilović.

MOTHER EARTH

10. Majka zemljaHorasio Salinas

Season 2001/2002

Theatre of Horasio Salinas is a synthesis of his understanding of traditional Western theater, No theater, Zen meditation and the result is an action stage - a kind of non-verbal, physical theater, mimetic or performing arts. PATOS staged this play in cooperation with the Mexican director. It talks about his obsession with the relationship between man and nature.

Why read The Little Prince as post-dramatic text?   

Eternal themes such as friendship, love, responsibility and meaningful life for young people have a vital importance in the years of transition from childhood to adulthood, as well as value of judgments that a young man should examine, rethink and adopt.

THE FORT

12. GradMarina Milivojević Mađarev

Directed by: Sunčica Milosavljević
Season 2006/2007

The Fort talks about the collision of myth and history, the aspirations of the rulers who are confronted with the fears and hopes of the people, an attempt to elevate the urban from rural, to create state of the country. This struggle is neither easy nor clear, and it indicates some doubt that Serbian society is shaken to this day.
